I've posted this in another thread, but it's worked so damn well for me I'll spread the word as much as possible:

Select all your manual strategies as Left Attack, Right Attack, Opposite Side Attack and Counter Attack. (as soon as the game starts, turn them all on).

Then go to quick setting and select All Attack.

Play this with a 3-3-4 formation and you may concede three. But you'll score about eight.

Also, play Line Defence to shore up at the back.

i love offense... i have gone all out attack in the ML... i perfer a 4 - 2 score line to a 2 - 1 scoreline..

Nope, I prefer a 2-1. Or even a 1-0. As much as I love offence, in PES, nearly anyone can pick up the game and be a competant striker in an hour or so of playing. But you can't be the same in defence.

I sincerely hope Konami do something to the def side of PES4; not necessarily change the mechanics or controls, but give you more control, or more options. I mean, how many different ways of scoring are there, compared to defending?

That's the saddest thing about PES3. Once you learn the sure-fire ways of scoring it becomes a farce. A big, easy, farce.

I think this is good when we're playing against the CPU, but against a friend it's very dangerous.

You don't need a fancy formation to play TotaalVoetball. I can win comfortably without conceding with any 4-4-2. I've been through hundreds of formations, and I always end up going back to 4-4-2. (saying that I always have a bit of something extra in Formation A and B.)

grrr i hate tactics like that, why would u wanna use a tactic that makes u win 10-0 and is boring as fuck? its far more entertaining actualy trying and having a decent game
