Halo 2 question

i recieved halo 2 and a crystal xbox for christmas,i'am not usually into games like this but it is fantastic.I'am to a level in wich i'am playing as an alien and don't know why,could anyone please explain.

cheers mate,i can sleep easy.It's abit annoying as i was just getting into the stride of being master chief,so i take it that after the mission you become the chief again.

The grunts? I quite like them, kinda funny. The Flood just piss me off though, the levels with them in (bar most of Quarantine zone) just seem like a horror movie. Fighting the Covenat is great because they use tactics. The Flood on the other hand just charge at you and all there is to do is mow down endless amounts of them. I'd had enough of the flood by the time you went through The Library on Halo.
