Greetings My Children!

Well I am in a bit of a mess; I live in Africa where the connection
presently sucks so I cant get any PES updates, I have a plasma screen but its not Hidef (although it does say HDMI on the side.. and I need your help:

1) What does HDMI really mean? High Def Media Input? Does this mean that if I get an HDMI cable I can play in high-def?

2) I only play offline (by circumstance) and there is no way for me to update, are there any ingame settings I can play with to reduce the jerks? I've searched the forums and found the following settings:

Cross Color Reduction Filter -Off
RGB Full Range - Limited
Super White -On

Anybody got any other hints? I am actually emailing Konami asking them to look into manual updates, where users such as myself (with bad connections) can have the option of download updates via the web and load into like a flashdisk, otherwise anyone got any ideas?

Does anyone know how to transfer these to the PS3 after I download them on my PC?

1) If your tv has HDMI on it then it should be HD ready, so yeah a cable should OK.

2) I've not heard of anyone being able to use the update patches for PES without being online on the PS, so i can't help there.

Other in game settings you can use to help with the stutter include turing of the commentary + stadium effects. Certain stadia can also affect the judder, though i cannot remember offhand which ones.

Some people say the camera angle used makes a difference, but i use wide (on longest setting) & didn't notice any appreciable difference.

Alternatively, do what i did & revert to playing PES6!
