Hey PES community,
First of all, I am a major fan of the Premier League and an avid fan of Tottenham and Gareth Bale. Although I will give the credit to my brother who first turned me onto Tottenham from using them in Fifa 11 (ironic, yes). Here's hoping we nab Beckham (although I hope Lennon doesn't see significant time on the bench if he comes)!
I am from Ohio, which if you know your geography is a state in the midwest United States (heavy American football country) and my hometown actually holds the national hall of fame for professional football (American).
Anyway, After about 3 months of drab Fifa (where every game feels like the last one and the CPU does the same thing on offense and defense) I saw a reference about PES on coldplay.com (ironic, yes) about how the bandmates all played PES with their crew and figured that if coldplay liked PES, then I might as well. One night of youtube videos later and I picked the last copy up from my game store the next morning.
Wow -- this game is something else. I wasn't expecting much, either graphically or gameplay-wise, but after playing it for about three days straight and getting my brother to grab a copy as well. We are both now fully converted to PES -- the most dynamic and true representation of football that I have ever played.
Not going to lie, the Option Files are really what kept me interested in really getting into this game and now have me fully into a Tottenham campaign with Master League. That was such a genius move on somebody's part.
Couple notes before I wrap up my this post:
1. I have the Fox Soccer Channel that allows me to watch a lot of Premier League soccer when I am home, but I live at my college 9 months out of the year and don't have the option at school for this channel --- what is the best alternative to being able to watch all the premier league games online each week.
I am looking for both free or subscription based. I couldn't find one that the Premier League offically had.
Secondly, Penalty kicks in this game are the only thing that have me really scratching my head -- a lot.
Go Spurs!
