Help me beat my brother in-law!!!

I 'm in the need of some general advice. I've been playing PES on line for a good year now and just cant keep away from it. I play against by brother in law and I would say he wins about 70% of the games we play and when he does he wins by 1 goal scoring in stoppage time which drive me insane.

I use AC milan with a 4-3-3 formation usually having a sort of triangular midfield and always select the reccomended settings on the setup which ticks all the right ones (well i hope it does).

He always uses Man Utd and i have noticed he uses 3 up front with his centre forward literally on my goal line. He does the same thing every game, Runs up the wing, crossed the ball in and either heads it in or my keeper fumbles the ball then he taps it in. Then basically repeats all the time.

Can anyone give me some setting up, formation and maybe some playing advice so I can start kicking his arse once and for all.

Any advice would be massively appreciated.

I've never lost a game on PES or any football game I've ever played (that's not meant to be a big headed "oo im so good" thing, im just saying listen to what I say and see if it could work for you too). I do many things that are frowned upon and that people say you shouldn't do. For example, I keep a death-grip on the sprint button.

Hold X (360) whenever your opponent has the ball to get your players to run at him and pressure him. Yes, this will ruin your formation, but your brother will have such little space to move, chances are you'll win the ball.

If you have a lot of space, while dribbling, before your player's feet touch the ball while he's running, hit RB 3 or so times so he'll kick the ball farther in front of him (meaning you get there faster).

Use a lot of 90 degree turns. It's very simple to do, just take your finger off the sprint button and move in a 90 degree direction to quickly turn out of his way. Using this you can dribble through his whole defence. Lots of 90 degree turns and good use of the sprint button (putting it on and off at the right time) will help you run rings around him.

If you have a striker rushing at your opponents defence while you have the ball and wish to pass it to him, instead of a through ball, try a lobbed through ball (i think it's LB and Y). This is usually quite unexpected and if you do it right can be VERY effective.

If you have a fast player with good control and are in a one on one situation, run straight at the goal keeper and as he dives to try and grab the ball, either let go of sprint and make a 90 degree turn to out maneuver him or if you have a little more room (you'll get used to judging this) then make a 45 degree turn while still sprinting and you'll end up running straight passed him!

The other striking alternative is to use a player with a very good shot accuracy and as you are going to strike, hit RT to hit an accurate shot (make sure you hit it with the player's strong foot) that will curve around the keeper.

What I've found is that you should never shoot facing the goal unless you are very VERY close. The best angle to shoot at is being at a 45 degree from the goal (on your strong side). For example, if using a right-footed player, run towards the goal post on the goal-keepers left hand side (your player's right hand side).

I could tell you a million things to do but try these first and let me know how well you get on :)

P.S. These controls were written for 360. If some of them are wrong it's because I haven't played PES in a few weeks, sorry :)
