Help me beat this Chelsea formation !

I just registered but I've been reading posts for a while now, great site!

OK here goes.... I use Milan and my friend uses Chelsea.
His formation is : 442 WIDE

my formation : 3223

my problem seems to be on defense, i get left too exposed on counter attacks and he seems to have way too much space in my box. I find myself left behind with 1 defender stuck between his 2 attackers and im basically done. I changed my defensive tackic to "C" but I havent played him yet. He likes attacking down the wings since he has fast players and crossed to the middle where he leaves my defense exposed and out of position.

What should I do? SHould I change my formation ?? Please help!

You answered part of the problem yourself there. Get a back line of 4.

Sorry but you just cant beat Chelsea, they're just too good no matter what you do

But yeh a back four definately needed with them pushed up if you want as long as they are fast, then the rest is up to you really, depends how you like to attack, with 3 forwards and 3 centre mids or just play 4-4-2

a few more questions!

my back 4 should I change the defensive strategy to "C" where they stay back all the time? I feel that crowding my defensive box is the key since he gets too many 2 on 1s with my out of place defenders .

The players I use are as follows

I will try that 4/4/2 formation though ...
I would put the following :

How is oddo ? should I replace one of my defenders with him?

if kaladze is faster than maldini put i would switch them around personally but midfield and attack are good imo

Instead of Simic, you can use Oddo and Ronaldo instead of Inzaghi.

Yeah, sub Simic if there's someone better.

I like to use Inzaghi instead of Ronaldo because he has better response, though. I can get Kaka to serve some killer break-away passes to Pippo just like in real life.

I guess you could also drop Ambrosini for Ronaldo put him up front with Inzaghi as LCF and Ronaldo as RCF. If you do that, put Pirlo in the middle, change his attack arrows to forward and backward, and set his defense to high.
