Right ive got the max drive thing, an ive just looked throught hte other topic concerning this an no1 has my problem, i cannot get the bloody thing to work on my PS2! its fine on my PC just wondered if anybody might be able to help me plllllease?!!!?!!?!? All it says when i try and load the disc up is "please insert a Playstation or a Playstation 2 format disc"!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH

this happens all the time, just wipe the disc and try again, it just becouse sony dont support the max drive.

You should have asked this in the max drive problems thread. Imagine if everyone in there had started a new thread for all their problems

Put the PS2 max drive disk in your PS2. Turn off your PS2 and turn it on. Does it read the disk?

(Make sure it is not the PC disk )

no it doesnt read the disc, ive wiped it and tried it loads of times, an i only started a new thread as the other one was more about PC problems im having no probs loading the software on my PC.

Maybe try using a lens cleaner in your PS2.

nah that wont work, dont wanna sound ungrateful but all my games work an some are badly scratched so its not going to be the laser, thanks anyway

Don't worry mate just put your ps2 flat on the floor and keep turning it on and off, it will work sooner or later.

If you have the old PS2 it should work straite away but keep turning it on and off. I've got the slim one and when i put it in it says "please insert a Playstation or a Playstation 2 format disc" put i just keep reseting it and works at the end.
