I never played Revenge so I have no idea what I'm missing out on. For the open city, the size of it, customer service and DLC, Paradise City/EA in general has been top notch.
And it's one of those games that takes ages to fully complete. Not one of those "play for four hours and you're done" games that we're seeing a lot of lately.
When you've got a massive offline game to play (moving up the licenses and winning all the races, stunt runs, road rages, marked mans and burning routes) to win all the cars and trophies along the way, not to mention a similar thing with bikes instead, it comes over as really impressive. Not to mention the 500 online challenges to be done.
And now there's Big Surf Island to purchase. It's £9.99 and I'll be buying it out of grattitude as well as having a blast on it. I love that Criterion hasn't just churned out a new game 12 months after release, but rather worked on giving us updates on what we have already. I'd happily buy another extension to the city next year instead of a whole new game.
