i got a new laptop for my christmas n i got pro evolution soccer for my birthday but when i tried to install it a message pops up saying:

Warning:
Your computer does not meet the minimum specifications necessary to run this software.
You may experience errors during operation.
The video card does not have the necessary specifications(Vertex/Pixel Shader 1.x)

how do i solve this?? or where can i get them from??

I had exactly the same problem on my laptop which supports up to v3.0 Pixel and Vertex.

Anyway, to stop the message popping up, just install Kitserver (the more recent version the better).

I have Intel 945 Express Family Chipset GFX on mine and I unintalled the preset Dell drivers (as advised by the Dell tech support) and then downloaded and installed the newest drivers from the Intel website. This completely fixed the problem then.

hi mate,

i have just purchased pro evo 2008 for the pc and am having the same problem (vertex/pixel shader 1.x).
I have an ATI Radeon videocard - so i thouyght it should support the software, but i keep getting this message when i hit play on the first screen.

You advised to download Kitserver? If i can ask, how does this help? do i save it anywhere?
You also mentioned uninstalling the drivers and installing newer ones?? i have a sony vaio? does this also need to be done or will the kitserver solve the issue?

@partridr & nikelegends: First thing you should do is check whether your card can actually run the game. ATI Radeon is just the maker and brand, you need to know the specific model and check whether it complies with the minimum requirements. It probably does.

Updating your video card drivers would probably be a good idea. In partridr case, go to the ATI website, download and install the newest drivers you can find for your model. Can't help you with that as I've never owned an ATI.

If you still have problems, then google kitserver for PES 2008, download it and decompress it in your PES 2008 folder (further instructions in a README included with the program). Run 'kitserver.exe' so it patches your PES 2008 executable. This will allow you to choose any detail setting you want when configuring the game, even those that are not supported by your card/monitor, so be careful. Hopefully you'll be able to run it.

That's weird because my mate has the same computer I used to have with only 2.0 pixel shader and not 3.0 like my new one has and he can still run it even though he shouldn't be able to. Works fine as well - just looks a bit poor...
