Help!!! The CPU is using GK's in outfield positions!!!

After making required transfers for 03/04 season update, I've noticed the the CPU is using GK's in defence, midfield, and forward positions!!! This only seems to happen in league + cup modes. For example -- taking on chelsea in the konami cup, marco ambrosio was playing as striker!!! This is really starting to piss me off, especially because i am so damn pedantic about realism + up-to-dateness.

Does anyone else have, or has anyone had this problem and fixed it?!?!? If so, i'd appreciate some help!!! (please note: i have the ps2 version)

This could be happening because you have left gaps in the squad list after updating the teams. Try not to leave any Unregistered gaps and move them all to the bottom of the list.

i unlocked the transfer option + formation editor together before editing my game, but i do recall gaps in between players in the tranfer screens...

i also moved players who have left their clubs right down to the bottom unregistered spots. when i moved them back up today -- i played a "konami cup", and the problem seemed to be gone.

thanks for your help guys... i think i finally got it fixed!!!
