Hi

Basically I have pro evo 6 for ps2, I dont play any other pro evo games cos 6 in my opinion is the best by far.

So how does this whole downloading the option file work? i want the most updated option file for pes 6 on ps2 but am a bit of a technophobe so have no idea where to start piecing that together. any help would be massively appreciated

Okay. The bad news is that, unless your PS2 is chipped (had a third party modification to allow it to play copied discs) you'll have to buy hardware. There's a little gizmo called a MAX drive for the PS2, which you can obtain for around £15, probably occasionally less on Ebay or something. What it does is allow you to download option files and stuff off the internet, transfer them onto it, and then onto your PS2.

If the machine has been chipped, then you can download software that essentially does the job of the MAX drive. This is of course not entirely legal so we can't share any links on here. Google search 'transfer option file to PS2 without a max drive' or something and there are plenty of guides as to how to do it.
