In the Formation screen, go to Formation, then Team. Go to Attack Attitude and put it from Normal to Manual and it should stay as you want it.

I believe he was talking about the Attack Attitude bars under your player name during a match.
Changes from blue, green, yellow, orange, red.
Blue is most defensive and red is most attacking.

After you do this, press L2 + R1 to slide the indicator up, hold L2 and press R1 until it is on red. (oh and if it goes down try L2 + R2 lol i have a bad memory)

Scuz, do i press these buttons during the game or what? Let me know-thanks.

Yes as soon as you come into play press L2 and cycle up and down from offensive to defensive with :R1: and :R2: It should stay on as long as you want. :p :D

to be fair, that makes no fucking difference in the game whatsoever.

when making runs up the wing i used to put the bar to red, and then experimented for a while just leaving it in the middle.

the exact same thing happens - ignore this random bar. i'm sure people will reply to this asking am i mad, but it definitly does FUCK ALL

Haven't noticed to much diff it prob effects the player more when they are off the ball like pushing up the pitch if set to attacking.

Think it changes back automatically after a while am I right?

yeh, after an attack it sets itself back once or twice.

but even off the ball players don't exactly swarm into the box if its on red. same as when its blue, the attackers don't come back and defend

I don't think it alters the players behaviour by much, but affects where they will start and stop running in support.

e.g. On the Red (All Out Attack) your defence, midfield and attackers should all move up the field. On blue (Backs to the wall defending) they'll all drop right back.

I think it is most noticable when waiting to take a free-kick, you can see your team-mates moving their starting positions back or forwards by a few metres for each notch on that bar.

I don't pay much attention to it unless I'm chasing a goal, then I'll switch Team Attack/Defence from Normal to All Out Attack, and Quick Settings to All Attack.

I think the computer changing the settings is reasonable enough.... If only the counter attacks were better though?....
