how do u sign players for free in ml????

when people post in this forum about the magnificent master league especially about their current progress with their trams, some people state that they sign sum players on a free transfer. i don't understand fully how you exactly sign players on a free. this would be very useful to me as at the moment i am attempting to sign players for my team and i have to bid really high in order to negotiate woth them. i would appreciate it if people can reply to my issue and i hope you can solve this problem i am facing currently.

At the end of the season if you scroll through all of the leagues until you come to a certain section there will be a group of players labelled "unattached" these are the players you can sign on a free. However your budget will increase depending on the salary you offer.

He's right, if the player you want to sign only has 1 year left on their contarct if you wait till it has run out and quickly try and sign them, i did that with David Villa, i had tried during the season to try and sign him, i offered Valencia 20,000 and Smith and offered Villa 2,500 wage, but he wouldnt come, when his contract ran out at the end of the season i signed him for free and only paid him a salary of 1,500

Yeah that's right. Most of the players in the non-affiliated section are already at existing clubs but these clubs are not in any of the Leagues you've got in your ML game. This is why you have to pay a transfer fee for these players.
