How do you deal with button lag?

I absolutely detest it. Even after all my efforts to find an opponent who has synchornized connection with me or someone in the US, I always encounter button lag. I hate getting killed 5-0 because it definitely doesn't reflect my actual skills. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I'm the best, but I think it's a waste of time trying to endure a game with button lag, and I've tried so hard not to bail out on my opponent.

Has anyone found any solutions to button lag, or do you simply just turn off your game console?

If you are wireless the go wired. It worked for me and out of 400 online games since going wired I have only had button delay about 5 times. And it appeared that my opponant didnt coz i got stuffed.
Happy with that ratio though.

If you are already wired then i have no idea.

I only had experienced one game with extreme button lag. I would press a button and then wait like 10 secs for my player to pass the ball.
