how do you make your forwards make forward runs consistantly?

Most of the time they just stand there and not move forward. I dribble with my midfielder like Pirlo probing and probing waiting for one of them to make a forward run so I could hit them with the through pass but they just stand there. The only time I could make everyone move up consistantly is on a counter attack by passing the ball around and launching them with L1 button. Anyone have a solution to this? Do I have to do something in settings ? I do adjust the team settings but even if I put it to max (20) team support it still doesnt work. I find myself yelling at the tv "GO GO GO, MAKE YOUR CUT" to Irba every night ! LOL

Unfortunately, u need to play by the things they give u...
Press LB or L1 after a pass to send em forward or wait for the CPU to run by themselves, that's it. U can train urself to time the moments that the CPU does his own planned run for the goal.

I was afraid of that .... oh well... hopefully they bring back the arrows next year. I've been doing just what you suggested but sometimes when yuo have a forward up top and you have the ball in the midfield you cant do the pass and L1 to make him run. This is where the issue is. Anyway... thanks for your reply! :)

Glance at the radar now and then sometimes they make good runs .

Also once you pass if you press R2 the player will make a forward run.

Yeah, it is frustrating to see that tur players don't use the spaces optimal... Try playing with a friend more often. Way more fun! :D

I would love to play with friends but we've all grown up and moved away so now I'm stuck playing vs Barca or Real online LOL

sometimes the strikes indicates where he whats the ball, i found that that preety nifty, but its the computers decision

i dunno..it seems like alot of people are having problems with this, but i think it's fine, whether the player makes forward runs depends on the movement of the player with the ball, the angle, speed and all that if anything, i find passing through balls to my centre forward WAY too easy
