How is PES 2010 on PC?

Apologies for starting a new thread but I've found that football games (PES and especially FIFA) are quite different on PC than on consoles. Since FIFA is a PS2 port on PC, it's not really an option, so it has to be PES if I do end up getting a football game.

So how much better is it than PES 2009 on PC? PES 2009 was quite decent but had some extremely annoying flaws. I could not help but be frustrated by the AI of the players on my team (no support during attack) and simple 5 yard places being very inconsistent, amongst other things.

Have they improved these aspects of the game atleast? Thanks!

Thankfully, unlike FIFA the modern console and PC versions of PES are exactly the same.

Man, I played FIFA '09 last year. It looked and played exactly like FIFA '06 on the PS2. What a disgrace. There are some mods being churned out to improve FIFA 10 for PC, but most of these are focusing on improving graphics to make it more console like instead of attempting to fix the broken engine and gameplay.

PES 2010 is an improvement over PES 2009, a very big one but it feels like a really big patch instead of a brand new game. Most of the problems have been solved but there are some new ones like the incredibly lenient referees that don't call fouls when players are tackled from behind and get their legs broken -_-

Master League is absolutely awesome now and yes you do get support when you attack if you set that as your team strategy using the new slider system.

If you enjoyed PES 2009 by running around and turning in perfect 90 degree angles without slowing down a single bit, you will not enjoy PES 2010.

However, if you value perfect timing, realistic build up play, and can understand the physics behind why someone has to slow down when turning, and why the passing accuracy drops when trying to pass to a teammate who is not in your field of vision, then you will find it a rewarding experience.
