How to install an option file!?

You know, with every Pro Evo release there should be a sticky at the top explaining to people how to install the custom option files. :D

So, I have d/loaded the file, painstakingly copied each part onto my ps3 into the saved game utiltity folder & just loaded up the game & nothing :(

Nothing has been applied, am I missing something?

Please feel free to point me in the direction of a guide to installation. The only one I could find was the 2010 & that clearly hasnt worked.

Cheers

Quick install guide.

1) Make sure you have downloaded the latest Patch, and the DLC.

2) Download the file onto your PC. You should end up with a .rar file.

3) Right click the file and extract to desktop. You should have a folder called PS3.

4) Put that folder onto a USB stick, and then insert the USB stick into your PS3.

5) In the XMB (main screen when you start your PS3), go to the Game icon, and scroll to a folder called “Saved Data Utility (PS3)”.

6) Enter the folder. You should see an icon in the folder which says “USB Device (Storage Media)”. Select it.

7) All the files from the folder should appear. On each file press triangle, then select copy. Do this for every file.

8) Once done, remove the USB stick and start the game!

Abu, I have done all you said, though I appreciate the reply.

I'm going to assume Orlando is correct at this point, I don't remember specifically copying an edit data file, just assumed that would come with it. Th one I grabbed was Paul's Option from this website... as I say, I assumed the edit data file would come in the same bundle as the option file?

Thanks though, I'll take a look

Hmm, K, I have the Edit Data file but there are two PES 12 folders in the Saved Data Utility & for some reason it copies into the wrong folder.

File management is pretty crappy on the ps3 so how do I copy it into the folder where it belongs? :/

Maybe go to the edit section in here? There used to be a thread where people could ask these questions. Not sure if it's still there though.
