Finally decided to leave this site after 6 years as each and everyday i come on here as a pesfan and have to put up this idiot fifa fans invading each topic and chatting shit about how crap pes is and how great fifa is! dont you fifa fans have a forum of your own that you can wank over fifa about? there is an other popular and very well known pes forum that ill be spending my time on from now as since the mods there instantly lock or delete posts that have fifa fans bashing pes, one of the mods replied "this is a pes forum because we are fans of pes, if you dont like the game dont post here"

Your views on FIFA in the above post are inaccurate and leaving because some people on this forum like FIFA is a ridiculous thing to do.

Deleting posts criticising a game that a forum is about is an absolute disgrace in my eyes so if you want to be blindly loyal to a game which is pathetic behaviour then do so but don't dare cry or tell people who like another game to fuck off. But what benefit is there to going to a forum where posts criticising PES are going to be deleted? Criticism is fully justified to an extent. There ia a feature to ignore the posts of users that you don't want to see and you clearly do not have to take all of those posts to heart but you do.

I can understand how it must get frustrating but that's life. I would sooner leave this forum than start deleting posts criticising the game. I'm happy to ban members who go to extreme lengths like Tech_Skill and byondthought did in the recent past. There are a lot of people who want PES to be better than FIFA even if they prefer the latter at the moment. That sometimes gets lost in the criticism.

Nobody with any sense wants either game to particularly fail because the competition provides us (usually) with at least one excellent game each year. If one of the games dies, the other one will stop heavy development almost immediately.

Relax. Most of these users are probably here on a mission. Don't you see how most register during demo time and before release?

This is bussiness, and as with most large corporations i'm sure they have a section dedicated to tactics aimed at undermining the opposition. Well, maybe not as organized as that, but it must be done, on some level. Going into forums and bashing the enemy's product is perfectly legal and can be effective.

Konami have been visiting these forums for ages, and so have EA. They have people that always keep an eye on customers' comments on their rival products.

P.S: My sources inform me that Sweey is on their payroll. :lol:

But what is your true definition of someone who doesn't have any other interest? I'm sorry but there a lot of defensive PES fans calling people FIFA fanboys just for saying they prefer FIFA this year (and yes it does work both ways). Some sections would say the accounts of those people who prefer FIFA should be deleted and I'm sorry but no, they shouldn't.

Clearly there are some extreme cases but as I said before, you can ignore users so their posts never show up. Do so if it bothers you that much. We do keep an eye on things but believe in freedom of speech and again: why do you pay so much attention to those posts anyway? If you think they're talking crap, let them waste their time and don't rise to it.

i agree if it is obvious the motives of a member is just to slate the game, i'm all for free speach and all, but if there is no in-put other than this then why waste everyones time.

i remember last year someone did the same but started calling all pes fans quite nasty names and their mothers too. this guy got promptly banned quite rightly.

I feel that people might see me as one of those guys who fall into the 'FIFA fanboy' category simply for the fact that I think FIFA has outclassed PES these last few years. But that's not how it is from my point, and a lot of people are in the same boat as me this year around.

I have loved PES since PES1 on the PS2 (note that others go as far back as ISS and so fourth). But any die-hard PES fan, don't misread as fanboy, will have obviously noticed the lack of improvements since PES6, and for the next-gen users, PES6 was more of a downgrade on PES5 apart from the graphics. I'll point out that all that stated there is an opinion, but a lot of people, too many people share that same opinion for it to go unnoticed.

Now yeah, people who come in here and go 'PES sucks, fuck PES' and only do that, yeah, good riddance. And I have seen them get kicked out of here, too. What you're experiencing is the PES fans who have been here who have finally decided that they'd rather play FIFA, at least, mainly those people.

The more people speak up of what they feel of the series whilst still being respectfuly, the better, because at the moment all I am hearing is that someone from different website is hyping the shit out of this game, and apart from graphics, PES10 doesn't seems to be all that spectacular (from the demo, at least). Which Konami is probably seeing a positive response to the games and constantly churning out games they think people are enjoying.

The reason that people don't get banned for not being 'pes fans' is that a lot of people are disappointed with PES, a community has been formed, and to give a good example of it is this: say if the guy who runs this whole place (I don't know who that guy is, sorry!) is disappointed with PES and doesn't like it any more, but likes FIFA, should he leave?

At the end of the day, criticisms and comparisons between the competition need to be made for the best possible game to be created. I'd also like to point out that just because you play PES, it does not mean you know what 'real football' is. People just play the game they prefer, it's that simple.

I really don't consider myself a "biased visions PES-fanboy" (I expressed lots of criticism against some versions of PES and against some "problems" that go throughout the different versions of the game) and still, I don't see things as radical as you do. I think that there clearly were some drawbacks from one version to another recently, but the point is, I always enjoyed more to play a PES match than a FIFA match (single- or multi-player) and scoring a goal, for me, always felt better in PES.
I don't like your deterministic talk about what other people think, and that there are "too many" of them to stay unheard. Because as you put things, I feel I might be in this category of people you are talking about ("die-hard PES fans" as you put it). But fact is I really don't feel that way and I don't like to feel (perhaps this is just a feeling) when people are talking for me...I'm a big boy, I can talk for myself.

You're totally right about the fact that criticism is positive and necessary, as I mentioned it before. But I must say that imo (as far as I can see from the demo and the WE demo feedbacks, and assuming that some points will be addressed for the final version), PES 2010 is a step in the right direction. As for Konami, they actually bring out games I enjoy (except PES 2008, which was a joke imo)...at least more than any other existing football game, including FIFA of course. Being a football and videogame junkie, I just badly NEED a football game that gives me a satisfying feeling of realism when I play it and in this matter, PES has the upper hand imo.

I totally agree with you about criticism and competition. As for his "real football argument", I think he meant it the other way around: He thinks that people who play/know real football prefer PES. I must say on that matter that most PES-loving people I know are either die-hard football fans or have played club-football themselves, which is not the case for those people I know who prefer FIFA. But this can't be really judged as it might just be a coincidence. I wouldn't go as far as saying people who know what real football is play PES.

It might be a PES forum but 100% of the people on here are football fans first who just want to play the best simulation, that doesnt have to be PES to them. sure some people are annoying when they constantly slander one game and dont look at the other side and you are now officially one of those annoying people if your first post is taken into account.

stormrider i agree that there is no need to go on and on but FIFA has a place in many PES threads. Its the only thing we have to compare to PES and in order to beat the opposition you have to look at what their doing right and improve on it

im gutted after playin the pro evo demo, im jus hoping its the 75% complete code otherwise its FIFA all the way for me.
