I Won The D2 Cup First Go!!

I almost... ALMOST shed a tear though. Reeeeeeally touuuuuugh season. I can't believe I made it to the cup and won in the finals!!!!! So frustrating but I finally figured out Top player's strategy.

1) Anytime you score a goal the AI switches to the "Pressure" strategy and tries to get a goal in the quickest possible way. So to counter this I had to come up with a counter-attack formation to destroy ANY chance it had of getting a leg up.

2) If my players weren't in tip top shape I would always play cheap by switching to a 5-4-1 formation if I was ahead by one goal.

3) My pure skills

I am so so so happy. I love this game. One of the few things konami never gets wrong.. ML. Love it.

PS: For anyone interested my win % was 38.10 and I am currently ranked 3rd in division 2. Kinda happy. Don't want to get promoted to division 1 yet. Will play another full 52 week season then move on and destroy everything else in my path.

i did the double after nearly losin out to zenit only 2 win it on the second to last game then destroy zenit 4-0 in the season finale

Well done, also when you set up a ml is there anyway of starting in D1, as i have one everything in D2 before?

I personally find the D2 the hardest thing to win - with Team Shit at that stage, it's easy enough to avoid defeat and occasionally win, which is good for the league, but in the cup you need to win every game - which is much harder. I think I went out early on in my only D2 season.

Do you unlock classic players for winning the D2 league or cup? I am trying to unlock all the classic players, I have the English, Germany and French legends, plus the ones you get for winning the D1 league and the Masters Cup.

I have just drawn the semi final first leg 1-1 of my first season in the D2 cup. At least I have an away goal. :happy:

Not bad considering I went about 6 games in the league before I won a match! :blush:
