Importing Option File PS3 - Help :(

Hi all,

First time poster, long time browser.

Long time PES player on the PC so my editing needs have been straight forward. First time I've owned PES on a console, so I am more or less out of my depth when it comes to editing and importing option files.

Can't really find the answer I'm after so I'm wondering if someone could kindly steer me in the right direction.

I've found a number of option files so I'm all square on that. I don't have CFW so I've steered clear from the patch files and DLC pack updates.

I gather I've come fairly late to the party since most of the option files I see are compatible for 1.04 and DLC 2.0..... upon booting up my game it asks me to download update 1.05 (on BLES02187)

Haven't downloaded it as I'm not really sure if it will cause the option file to stuff up, or if downloading official updates works at all with these option files. Could direct me to an option file that will work on this update? Or let me know for example, if I download update 1.05 then import an option file, if that would work. Thanks in advance.

you should be fine mate. I'm all up to date and have tried a couple of OF's on PS3. You can't break anything. I recomend you make a backup copy of all your PES files to a mem stick so if something doesn't work then you can get everything back to how it was.

Normally all you would need to do is go to the data utility in the PS3 menu and copy the PES2016 "Edit data" files and the PES2016 System File to USB pen drive. Pen drive must be formatted as FAT32. Keep that safe or copy those files to a folder on your PC. Get an OF from the Completed OF section, copy it to you Pen Drive

Plug it into your PS3 then go to the data utility, select copy multiple and ok. That should copy all the kits and embliems etc..to your PS3. There is normally edit data and system file included. You can copy over your original system file back to the PS3 as I think that just contains your menu configuration settings etc.. Hope this helps

Cheers mate :) - starting from a fresh game, haven't even started my ML league yet so I have no data to lose. I was planning on using an OF from here so I should be good just wasnt sure if update 1.05 meant the OF's wearnt going to work.
