Individual training - stats decrease

Hope I havent missed this in another thread, but...

When attributing focus points to players for individual training, if I allocate 0 points to a certain area, will I see a decrease in stats or just no development.

Im aware that stats for players of old age decrease on thier own accord. But for instance, I have a winger in his mid 20's who is already high enough in defence, but I dont want to see a decrease in his stats by allocating no points what so ever.

Thanks in advance.

In my own experience this hasn't happened but it depends on the player. I use standard player growth and assigning zero points to a certain area hasn't had a negative effect. I had a player with high shot stats so I decided to focus point on other areas, his shot stats remained the same. Depends on many factors such as player, performances, age and natural development curve.

As I'm seeing a topic relating stats and ML I try milking this for info :D

Have you guys found it useful to train SPEED in individual training.
Speed increases so slow - hardly none at all, it seems much more wise to just train everything else but speed.

This causes a dumb situation where it always feels wiser to buy naturally fast players..
What do you think?
