Intercepting a pass

Ball is shooting by my defenders and I cant stick my foot out!!:no:

I know this one but i'm looking to save my players sliding about and just stick a leg out when the ball is getting passed by them.

When I'm online, the other players always intercept passes by just sticking a leg out when the ball is going by them but I've tried diff buttons and it still shoots by me.:erm:

Only other way I can do it is by blocking but i'm right in front of the line the ball is going. I can get the ball when I'm up close by sticking a leg out by pressing X but when far away from a player X doesnt do anything.:angry:

Any ideas. My mates know but won't tell me!!! :lol::lol:

Just doing my head in when the ball goes by my player and nearly hitting him on the way by!!! :blush:

as far as i know, if your player have high response in his attribute, it will be easier for him to intercept... to intercept just use button A that is the (pressure) button when defending..

the only way 2 intercept is to read the play and have cursor players in the relevent postions and the players will intercept if need be will stick out a leg
