Since im originally from the states it was very difficult to get people to even watch "soccer" they just dont like it as much as the rest of the world since their sports culture is built differently. I use to play as a quarterback in Chicago with my school team and sometimes i would pick out a football and start kicking it around just some basic tricks pretty much any footballer can do and they were like totally amazed

Oh and speaking of the good old USA and its strange use of "soccer" am i the only one who thinks they should change the name of the game to Pro Evolution Football? Sounds much better as nobody calls it soccer here in EU

I live in the states and play an imported copy of WE7 with the combination of Magic Swap discs and a fliptop lid.

PES3 will be slightly improved from WE7 from what I hear, but I'd suggest you think about either: a) importing WE7 or b) waiting till PES3 is released in the US in February 2004 as WE7I.

If you import PES3 from Europe, it's much more difficult to play the game, since you have to get around the PAL-NTSC conversion somehow. The Japanese version of WE7 is already formatted NTSC, so you don't have to worry about that. Also, WE7 is on CD-Rom so it's much easier to patch.

PES3 will be on DVD. For that matter, so will WE7I. I've heard rumours that some folks will try to develop patches for those games, but there's nothing solid at this point. And, unless you have a DVD burner, that won't be possible anyway.

Alright: let me answer to Dejan18 and to connol3.
First, I'll worship Dejan18 for what he said in his reply. Everything was well put together, now I'm not quite sure if you're American or a foreigner ?? But if you're an American than that would be the first time that I heard an American calling 'soccer' football..so I admire you on what you said, and you got my full respect, great post tho...

Now connoll3 - it is very easy to play any imported game whether it was from UK, or Japan or even Iraq :D - I can see that you're not well updated with today's technology, but if you have modified PES2 with a good modchip you can play all imports including PAL. I have pre-modified PES2 with DMS3 v2.0 - DMS is the most expensive MODCHIP today, and the best one yet. It plays imports/originals/dvd free region with macrovision kill..it plays ps1 games, as well..you can watch divx movies, have mp3 and much more..so I'll be gettin PES3 as well !!

Yeah, I know about modchips. If you have one, well, then, you don't need to worry about the PAL problem. I kinda assumed you didn't have one. My bad.

You're also right the PES3 won't be released in the US, but I would bet that WE7I is going to be pretty much a straight port of PES3, just like WE6I was a straight port of PES2.

True - who knows WE7:I could be better than either one..PES3 or WE7..I do believe WE6:I had some better things than PES2 did..Connoll3 save some money and get a good PS2 with a modchip.
