Like the poster above mentioned it can be both fun and frustrating. Fun to play other human players and battle it out yet frustrating because it takes eternity to build a decent squad. The money you earn compared to the value of the players is unbalanced because it takes roughly 15 games to have enough money to buy a mid league standard player. You're talking weeks in order to be able to buy a world class player which is just ridiculous.

If you start now you are going to be behind compared to the rest of the gamers online who started theirs from when the game was released and will have most of their squads packed out with proper players.

still MLO isnt a competition with other players... IMO its like having a real life CPU if that makes sense...

No it doesn't make sense to be honest.

I think he's trying to say that you can view MLO as a 'single' player mode, but instead of playing repetitive AI you get put up against a large variety of playing styles.

If you just stick to quick matches then that perception of the mode fits pretty well. Doesn't really matter if you win or lose against some random person.

Obviously if you're into the tournaments then it does become a (personal) competitive mode as you begin to recognize names of good players/cheats.

you can always sell most of your default players and buy someone like Etoo, I saw a lot of people do that when the game first came out. Turns out it was probably a horrible idea as I dont see teams like that anymore. I see more balanced teams now.

Can you change the difficulty on MLO? I hate how you can't play on Top Player on regular online matches

thanks for the advice i think ill just play competitions.

I'd say it's definitely worth it. The only down side is people who cheat, or the fact that you can come up against some very good teams when your team is still a bunch of noobs.

There is a setting in network settings though that you can choose which makes it much more likely that you will play people with a similar level as you. I'd say pick that they give it a go for at least 5-10 games before you give up on it. Otherwise you'd be missing out IMO.

It does actually matter if your playing quick matchs in mlo and has a direct impact on where you are ranked and how much points you pick depending on the division of the opponent. That's if we are talking about mlo.

If he's doing that he may aswell continue with the mode.
