ive finally realised what i hate most about pes2008

i was playing the game last night when in a very important cup game hacked down steven gerrard in the middle of the park, foul says the ref, the cut scene starts and i automatically know im just gonna get a ticking off........ which brings me to my point, there isnt any new cut scenes at all, the least they could have done is change them all to get more of a feel of a new game, wouldnt mind but they are al crap anyway

its time konami brought in an interactive cutscene, when players square up for example X = push, O = grab, TRI = bring head foreward, SQ = back off, an ugly side of football yes but isnt diving? and thats in the game

i think we all know that Konami will never include it in a game, as its trying to be stamped out of football, but they did include diving so you never know.....

cheers mate, i think the way forward in games is freedom and having to make choices, along the same lines id like to see in the game is on some set pieces if you have a player (eg savage) marking a player (rooney) you can choose to wind him up and he will either fall to pieces make wreckless challenges and get sent off like he always seems to do or make a superb performance out of it, bag 2 goals and set one up, its been able to make lesser players make an impact on a game, very likely these ideas will never be used but how much more feel there would be to the game

it would just be too difficult to implement these sort of moves, but the fact that diving is in the new game (in next-gen) is a huge step forward in respect of these sorts of changes. I'm all for them m8

no-one mentioned the possibilities of fighting,
if this game has to be adevertised as a football simulation it should show REAL football, not what football would be like in an ideal world.

Well when you square up to someone, you are mainly wanting a fight... a push is considered to be fighting in some cases, so is a grab... and when you say 'bring head foreward' (which you cant even spell correctly) I assume you mean headbutt, and that is fighting.

No one has to mention the possibilities of fighting... I'm just saying it doesn't take a genius to work out what you're really getting at.

And Goldbergio, I have watched a game of football, why else would I play a football game, you're just pissed off because... your idea really is crap.

first of all pointing out spelling mistakes is what kids do, grow up mate its a childish thing to do

secondly IT HAPPENS IN FOOTBALL!!!!! like diving, why shouldnt it be in the game

and thirdly show a little respect, if you think its a crap idea in your opinion say "its not my thing" not "its crap i hate it, i hate you, you cant spell, my dads harder than your dad etc etc" i bet if anybody in person came up with the idea you wouldnt have the cocky attitude so leave it out when your behind your keyboard friend

Yeah, myself and Dragonfly have said in a couple of different threads that this sort of thing would be a good idea, especially in high pressure games where the result isn't going your way, players DO flip in real life and get heated.

I'm sure you'll get the moaning cunts who say the addition of diving was a bad idea...its what happens, it adds to the realism of what is already a brilliant game, and things like this would make it even better.

It's totally pointless though. If you push an opponent then by the laws of the game you should be sent off, so who's gonna want to get their players sent off after every innocuous challenge?

Much like the new dive feature, it should be available but you should be punished if caught

You dont have to do it after EVERY innocuous challenge, its an option, like the diving, depending on how the game is going.

It's a good idea, like I said up there ^ people are bound to say otherwise.
