Keeping players happy?!

I'm starting to find a big problem with keeping players happy.

I have set the transfer activity to low. Christ knows what it must be like on high because there are loads of deals going on.

On top of this, I am getting bids left, right and centre for nearly all my players. It's getting on my nerves to be honest.

Anyway, this is leading to my players getting unhappy. Everytime I reject a bid, that little bar of happiness, goes down a notch. I have at least 6 players whose bar is empty. Then, just when they play a few games and get a bit happy again, some team bids and they have a 'frosty relationship' again. This then means they won't sign a sodding contract as they just 'put it on hold'.

Prime example I had was Snodgrass. He got unhappy so I had to release him. If they don't want to negotiate a contract it's stupid you can't even make an offer, say double his wages to try and tempt him. They just run it down and jog on. Well, after this happened, I just re-signed him on a free which is stupid.

Then I had Andrezinho. Burnley, who are in Div2, kept bidding. He got unhappy and now his bar is empty and his contract is nearly up. He starts nearly every game, is a key player for me and is playing in the Prem. Why would he get unhappy that he can't go and play mid-table for Burnley in Div2?!! Absolute joke.

I've even had it with players I've signed. I got Elokobi and Barcelona have just bidded. This is so un-realistic. 1. Elokobi is shyte and hasn't actually done much with my team 2. Barca would never ever bid for him 3. They offer 10x what I paid just 2 weeks earlier.

Now this twat is un-happy so I got no option but to get rid.

The Transfer system on this game needs a serious overhaul. It's getting to the point where I can't be arsed cos' I start to build a team and before they can gel or I get the final piece of the jigsaw, they are all pissed off.

Also, what's with the happiness arrows pre-game. These seem to have no direct association with anything that has ever happened.

I have Lacina Traore. He scored 2 goals in a 3-1 win over Blackburn. Next game his arrow is upside down and fucking grey (or whatever colour it goes). I'd have thought he'd have good morale after scoring twice?!!

Sort it out Konami!

When you get a bid for your player, raise the asking price around 4 or 5 times the original offer, eg if you get a 5 million bid, raise it to 15-20m and the cpu team will break negotiations without any cost to your players happiness, hope this helps.

You can also get a level 5 coach who specialises in form, this can also help.

Good point, I do the same thing - but there is one problem, last day of the window deals can't be renegotiated. I've had players get a cob on for not being able to leave because I've had no option other than to reject the bid.

You dont have to reject when this happens, just don't do anything the deal will break as soon as the deadline has past without any cost to players happiness, I've done it many times.

Thanks S-D-P thats helped me out a bit more about raising.

Also to the OP, check the player bio, if it says 'could move but doesnt mind either way' then rejecting a move will have NO effect on his happiness.
Its only when the player bio says 'desperate for a move' when the advice from S-D-P comes in handy

No problem mate. I would do what I said every time though just to be safe although what you said is right, there have been times when a player has said something along the lines of "not bothered either way" and his happiness has gone down after a rejected offer, so I just use the raise price method.
