knock it forward?

Hi eveyone

When one of your players receives the ball, is it possible for that player to knock it forward with his first touch and then run onto it?

I know this is possible WHILE you are dribbling with the ball (-> -> on the d-pad) but can you do it BEFORE you've started a run?

when recieving the ball on the turn (towards goal) i think you hold r1 to goal and he hits the ball forward to run onto it, try it in training to get used to it, took me a while and dosnt always work

Thanks mate, but I already know about that move. What I want to do is to get a pacy player to hit the ball past a close marking opposition player with his first touch, and then run onto it.

The move you suggested relies on the ball's own momentum, so that if there is a central midfield pass out to a wide positon, you would just give away a throw in. In real life, players like Giggs would knock the ball down the wing with their first touch and then chase it past an opposition defender.

Any help?

I wondered if you could just do the double dpad thing before the ball arrived at the player but all he does is dummy the collection and ends up leaving the ball behind while he runs off up the wing like a nutter.
I will admit I have done it in the past but not too sure how. It has something to do with a quick direction change like if you're moving down the pitch to collect a pass and turn left while sprinting as the ball reaches you he sometimes does it. Its happened after a performing a quick 90 degree turn too but I can never repeat it when I need it.

hello there friend
i dont know if this is what you really need but its called the supersprint trick and its done like this
while youre running with R1 press and R2 and at the same time push your left analogue stick at a 45 degree angle.
the ball is going much more than usual away in front of you and youre chasing it .
hope it is what you want friend
