Do you guys think that Konami is going to make a game the way we want it?, or with all the licences, refs, names, and kits. They are not stupid, because if they make a game with all licences like fifa, with the type of gameplay WE/PES has, no one will buy the next versions. That is way they do not do major changes or updates to new versions. Who ever says that if refs are put in to the game the gameplay gets ruin, is lying because PS2 should be able to handle anything like they use to say before it was release. Remember that PS3 will be release in 1 or 2 more years, and they want us to keep buying the consoles and the new versions. Tha is my thought.

I think games can always be improved in future versions.
Even if it is just the team rosters.
There is so much that people want added that it can't all be done in one version so hopefully over time, they will notice what is being written and asked for and do something about it.
The fact that they apparently never reply to emails is quite sad though.

There's only 2 things for Konami to do to make their games more popular than fifa but it involves them spending money.
One is to buy more or all of the licences need to prevent fake names.
Two is to go OTT like fifa with advertising with player endorsements etc.

Unfortunately this requires money which they won't be willing to spend.
And that's why they will will always be in the top ten of the charts for a few weeks and then drop out whereas fifa is still up there.

Shame.

i kind of agree with "charly". If Konami made the "perfect" game now then there would be no point for people to buy later versions of the game. For example, if they included a feature which allowed you to register players with club teams then there would be no need to buy the next version of the game as you could just update the teams every time a transfer is made. Therefore Konami wouldn't make any money.

You got my point Wixon, everything is just business (money). If you see, FIFA has everything we want WE/PES to have, but the gamaplay is terrible. If FIFA was to have the same gameplay as WE/PES, then people will stop wasting their money on new versions. Business!! Business!! Business!!

Well that is all obvious... but they could at least sort 1 or 2 major flaws? If they go down the FIFA route of very slighty upgrading then they are buggers. It's up to them really as people will prob buy regardless? Let's not forget also that the PS2 prob has a lifespan of 2-3 yrs left b4 PS3? So they should make one major improvement b4 they start the whole cycle again on PS3.
