It's Friday, so I guess you are all happy anyway. But here's a bit of news that will make the end to your week even better!

Take a look at this tweet from Jon Murphy:

Here at OPE, we've been taking this issue quite seriously. And I'm sure you've noticed us reiterating that we would like the cheaters to be punished.

This news is music to our ears, and I hope that you're as pleased as us. I wasn't 100% confident that Konami would actually take action against the culprits, so this is extra pleasing.

So if you know anyone that has abused the system, then please, feel free to link them to this post!

Thank god! Sounds like they're taking this very seriously. Can't wait till the cheaters are punished, and make the game good to play for us good guys.

Saying they will do anything is a long way from actually doing. Specially when it comes from konami, that bullshits us year after year, so don't get your hopes up.

They've fulfilled every promise this year though?

Like the MLO cheats; the own goal cheat has been fixed, and the pause cheat will soon be fixed too.

Actually I was very impressed with Konami's support last year. They improved the gameplay imensely from first release via the patch.

Ok, they didn't fix refs or pens, but they did a lot of other positive things.

In other words, I'm not surprised they are evolving PES 2011 online, and I also expect gameplay teaks and improvements along the way...

If they improve gameplay this time around I hope they fix the 1st touch of players when they receive the ball so they don't slow down and the defenders catching up to fast attackers. If they could do that I would be very happy with the game.

Listen, if they don't fix MLO, they will seriously hurt next year's sales.

MLO is their key seller for next year's game. If it is perceived as being poorly moderated and a waste of time for players, it will hurt their stock. I certainly will not buy pes12 if MLO isn't improved.

But then you have the other side of the coin, how many of those cheaters will still play MLO when their team is reset? No chance at cheating to build the team back, so why would they bother playing when they will be stuck with the default players (they are bad enough with the best players)

Good point, M. I'm sure Konami will make MLO even better next year, not that they really need to.
