First post so sorry if this has been discussed before but hoping someone can help me out...
Recently I have switched from playing online quick matches to searching for match rooms, mainly to find people with half decent connections but also to check player profiles to make sure I don't get stuck in another boring run-shoot-goal fest against barcelona.
Most of the time all is good but a few times I have noticed that about half way through a match (usually when i'm a goal or two up..) the other players connection speed drops to red making the game impossible to play and they score pretty much straight from the kick off before I can even work out what's happened.
Another thing I have noticed is that a lot of these players are selecting Potteries which I find a little odd as i'm pretty sure that if i was playing as them I would get thumped!
I read up on something called Lag Switching which from what I can work out is a way of controlling your connection speed, which would add up with what i'm experiencing but what i want to know is:
Is this actually happening out there and is anyone else experiencing it? Is there anyway Konami or anyone else can detect or stop it?
And also, what enjoyment do people get from doing this? It's only a video game! My Mrs is rubbish at pro evo otherwise I would play her but I am seriously thinking of just going back to playing against the COM opposition if this is a common problem!
