I have, as i am guessing everyone else has, just read the press release from Konami re Licenses...

I can Imagine lots of people are going to moan about this and make lots of threads re this and simply blast Konami...

TBH we all saw this coming and we really shouldnt be supprised, EA has a ton of cash and has a lot of rights under its belt.

But we shouldn't worry ourselves with this.Edit mode is back and that is part of the fun of pro evo... i would never want a fully licensed game, what would edit mode be used for???

Also the EPL license is up next year so the best league in the world will be up for grabs...

So everyone stop complaining and just enjoy the game when it comes

what you said isnt really relevent because konami is not a poor company at all i bet the can compete and beat EA SPORTS.....

oh i never said Konami were small, But EA have had the money and time in its favour, FIFA was around a lot longer than PES and therefore had more time, and is Uber rich so it has been able to keep these luxury's...

but i agree that if the EPL want its product to be shown it the best light it should convert next year...

or even sell to both and then we will have people comparing the 2 and seeing just how far PES is in terms of game play that FIFA

yes mate agreed on that like but EA sports is seperate to the EA im trying to get in and work for EA sports but doubt it as the aminly hire free lance but anway i personally think konami is bigger if you look at the games they have compared to EA sports....

MGS series is huge and thats just a start

Love MGS... Full saga awsome, Even Solid 2, in essence a very simple game... but just awsome and a story and cinimatics that could rival anything in Hollywood-Land...

i tell what would be lovely, if the actual brand "FIFA"'s license was to be up for grabs... imagine EA Sports Soccor 2012 or something and Konami's FIFA Evolution Soccer... nice...

^ Bear in mind guys that the size of a company isn't everything. Konami may be rich, but they are based in Japan and the demand for sports games isn't nearly as high percentage-wise over there as it is in America and Europe. So they have to prioritise their budget with that in mind.

EA Sports on the other hand has been THE biggest player in sports games in NA and Europe for over ten years, so they're gonna have the funds to buy out anything Konami goes for.

I see no reason why the leagues and FIFA etc can't sell the licences to whoever puts up the money for it. The football manager games have all the licences despite the FIFA games having them.

That's a good point, although having said that I don't think they have badges and kits licensed, just the team and player names, which I imagine would cost alot less.

Seria I heard is in the game but wont have the LOGO.

Umm maybe konami is losing all these license tho b/c they know next year EPL is up fro grabs and they wwant to have money available for it.

well with the football manger thing, i think konami has the same thing as they have all the EPL names right (for players) but not the license...

But again time will tell with that one...

But again to be honest, even if they dont get it next year i am sure by PES10 the edit mode will be unlike no other as they'd bea bit annoyed in not getting it so they'd just made every aspect editable and just kill FIFA on game play

yeah man, this is just sad almost pathetic. bundesliga, serie a, la liga primera all gone down one by one. just face it that the way things are done over there are not the same as the west. they care about gameplay and less on graphics and presentation (leagues and music license). kinda weird, almost as if they dont understand what people want lol. my patience has run so thin that its on by a thread for me to still believe in pes. they needa hire some non asian devs over there and have focus groups from all over the world about this game, they dont seem to get it. "yeah but edit mode is in", thats just wrong though, a dev to make a game and not give you a full on presentation to a well put game, leaving the rest up to you, and then the fact that theres a team edit cap, so it probly wont be possible to get all the teams you'd want via edit mode. i dunno... more and more i lessen my hate at fifa's gameplay.

fifa is great this year and will be a blast online, but with those 250 improvements, they missed just 3 more: a slightly larger wider field, to allow passes and not a damn american football match in the middle of the pitch for the ball where every man gets a 1 second moment with the ball as it ping pongs around. the other is just a lil bit more faster response, feels still sluggish. and the other is make the ai fair, not like your playin against somethin that knows whats gonna happen next and can react to things faster than what you can, and equally give the ai on your team the same level of intelligence, not be dumbasses. those 3 is all fifa needs, oh and the ability to select any player you want near a ball, not just limited to 2 of the positions, cuz sometimes a third or 4th player in the field may have a better chance to take the ball from the offense but for some reason you just cant select him, and your chance goes by.

pes... :( why mus things be this way

I'm not too downhearted, I just hope that the "kit slots" we get are enough to cater for all of the teams who need it.

thats what i hope for as well, were gonna be left with havin to remove teams and add ones, over and over

I hear they have only got 40 slots for kits. Remember that is home and away for outfield an keepers. Fucking shit if you ask me.

i just had a thought... i realise i actually prefer having teams i can edit... on master league you can later the kit so you dont get bored of seeing the same thing every single day... and... when it gets to june.... everyone has new kits... with the licensed teams you have to stick with the same old kit... but with the editables you can make all the new kits...

how much better is that... and you get to feel proud of your creation... well i do anyways...

It would be alright if you could edit every single aspect of the kit. But you can only do the front & back of shirts and the shorts. You can;t be badges on the shorts ad nothing on the socks. So it looksfuckin pikey. If you could edit everything & have unlimited space to use then I would be satisifed. But I don;t think it hasgot the capacity for you to edit everyting they leave out.

not really... west ham and west brom dont really need it... man utd and liverpool dont... and really who plays as torino etc... i just think that most people only care about the look...

yeah it helps... but its like meeting a girl when your drunk... FIFA will be great at first... but when the smoke clears in the morning and all the gloss is gone... i'd much wake up with a PES kinda girl... still good looking but she is good at what she does

I do.... I use every team throughout the game. Not just the big sides. Thats why I hate playin online cos most of the mugs play as Barca or Utd. Fuckin boring. Whats the point in having a variety of teams if the same shit is always used??

Well thats the whole point in bringing the game out through next gen if you aint gonna have a good look to the game?? Waste of £40 quid if it looks & plays like the same game I paid £20 for when it was on PS2!!!
