Sorry if this has been mentioned on another thread but can anyone tell me what the points system is on xbox live.

Do you get more points for beating a higher ranked player than a lower one?

10 points for loss
20 for draw
30 for win
1 point for each goal you score

Does this mean that the world no 1 could be playing rubbish players all the time and still getting the same points for a win as the underdog would for beating him?

Yeah, I think so. I don't pay much attention to the ranking. More about the reputation of players that I know.

Ranking doesn't mean all that much. How would they know who the world number 1 is anyway? Maybe someone out there would play games all day long - and quit when he's losing so it would appear he's unbeaten.

I'm playing anyone who wants a game when I'm free and not too crushed if I lose.

At the moment.
When we play some real league matches, that might change.
