Hey there, im a man utd supporter and use them always, since pes 12 came out i cant say iv been too impressed with anyway "i have tried" to set United up.

When im on attack the opposition "always" seem to have 6 players behind the ball who rush me, and it seems like i cant get past them, but when they attack i see gaps and holes all over my defence. I can and do get joy by just winging it and go for the cross to score with them but i dont like that as its very one sided style of play and want to explore more possibilities.

I play in a 4-4-2, Roo n Welbeck up front until 60odd mins to introduce Chicharito for Welbeck, Young on left, Nani on right, standard defence [Evra, Vidic, Rio n Rafa], mix up my 2 in midfield [Carrick/Fletch/Giggs/Cleverly]. I tried All out Attack, Poss Offensive, Long Balls and Counter Attack setups, and it all seems the same. But i dont touch the sliders, i go with there defaults.

Anyone else who uses them and have a good setup for united they could recommend?

I play with United and at 1st I had the same problem. I'm still using 4-4-2 but pushed Hernadez right up top with Rooney just behind. Pushed Nani a tad further up on the right and pushed him right against the line and the same with Adam Johnson on the left (1st Signing).

Ok cheers il try setting the forward players abit higher, and what style do u play? i.e Counter Attack? All out Attack?

I left it on counter attack. Unless I'm losing or chasing a draw, then the last 15-20 mins I go on all out attack

Im a United fan too and I need to play around with the setup once I start a league season. Has anyone noticed that Wayne Rooney is 95 rated when playing Left midfield for England? (Assumption same for United) Higher than when he is up front! I think Berba is rally good instead of Welbeck (PES only! lol), I play Carrick and Giggs Centre Midfield

Right, before making this thread i played 3 games against AC Milan on Normal difficuly setting and got beat all 3 times by a goal or 2 in some good close games.

So i made this thread and then after the reply i moved Welbeck up, Nani and Young up and abit wider and within 10mins on the clock i was 2-0 up, all looking good, then AC just turn up the heat, not only bring back the 2 goals but an extra 2, 4-2 then the game closed up for me, more defensive problems, keeper problems and i lost 6-2. lol.
Im also finding it very hard to score, normally if i hit the target the keeper saves, and dont parry back out or it goes wide or over.

I love the game but at the same time its frustrating the f*ck outta me lol

Also Cheers Ege123 for your input, yeah i noticed rooneys stats. strange. gonna try your midfield next.

To help the defending bit try moving the position by default cleverly plays, move him back a bit, changed to DMF but you can change it back to a CM. I did this and was against weakest team in my group in Champions League mode but I won 1-0, and as I had fletcher playing in that DMF role I reduced them to just 1 shot. I had like 12. Going to play few more games against harder teams see if it works for sure :)
