Is it just me or does this happen to everyone?

I get a really good formation and trash teams all season and then the next season i'm scrapping wins and the computer seems to be a couple of stars harder. I play in 4* in the master league and i'm sick of changing formations every couple of seasons, i've used heaps!!!

Any proven formations would be very appreciated

it's just you i think... ;)
3-5-2 is the best standard formation i would say.
just play 3 CBs in defence, no fullbacks.
1 or 2 DMs depending on preferance/ability...

Thats the formation i'm using just now but i have a problem with positioning the 2 wide men. They never seem to join in the attacks and i do have attacking arrows pointing forward but that does not seem to make much difference either.

The computer will always raise its game sometimes. It's part of the 'cheating AI' so that the game isn't too easy.

I used a diamond 3-4-3 quite well for a couple of seasons. Using only the default players.
