Mercenaries

Has anyone bought or played 'Mercenaries' for PS2? I'm thinking about giving it a look but thought i would ask the trusty PES-Insighters for their expert opinions.

Yeah i was thinking of getting it but i ain't gonna until i've completed most of my other games that i haven't played. This game got 9/10 from ops2 and they said it was amazing so i'm guessing its quite good as i've heard good words about it.

Ive read a couple of reviews and they said it was very good, like a cross between San Andreas and conventional war game, where you could roam around and fight for different factions. Apparently it has the best explosions in any game at the moment by far. But, there's loads of good games coming out (ie GT4) now so i'm not sure whether to get it.

I may get it as it seems very good and i like the gta concept in the game. I'm suprised only me and you are interested

I have the game for the x-box, and I don't think it's a super game. If I were you, I would by MGS3 or GT4. Mercenaries is a cool game, but it gets boring pretty soon. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good game, but in my opinion there are better games at the moment.

Yeah, I also have Mercenaries on the Xbox. Seems to have copied the GTA series in a lot of ways, also I've only done half and dozen missions and also its got very repeitive so I don't know what it will be like further into the game.

Besides that the graphics and the storyline is pretty good.
