I have just been in two online games where i was playing against man u and barca. the morons who play as them just ALWAYS pass to ronaldo/messi and run, run, run, and square it. I've found the best way to counter this is to play as either bolton, hull, wigan or stoke and relentlessly hoof it up towards elmander/folan/heskey/kitson and use plenty of through balls to fast wingers. it'll really irritate them if you beat them as a bad teams!

use manual strategy and set 2 players for each winger- works every time!

I might look into that, I've never understood manual strategy and the rest, bit confusing to set up

formation setting>>the third one (i think its manual strategy)>>you choose the player and who you want him to cove>>set aggresive or normal.
this way you can put pressure on the wingers.

I´ll try this too, it may be the only way to stop CR07/messi

Aye - I used a similar strategy to win with Derby on the last PES. Very effective with a big player up front. However, I'd suggest Fuller up front for Stoke rather than Kitson; maybe use the latter in midfield.
