PLEASE could someone tell me if you can still chest-control in mid-air because it aint working in this one, by pushing forward on the d- pad as in PES2

Yes, you can. Pressing R1 when the ball is coming chest high is very succesful too. It can set you up for a volley or simply help to evade a defender.
