Im in 2018 and contracts are due for renewal. A couple of world class players of mine are asking for huge money , now im losing them for nothing. Both players are about 100 overall and it would be their third contract. Both are 27 years old IIRC.

Haruna currently $6mil wants $12mil a year
Romanin currently $7mil wants $15mil a year !!

My club is rich , ranked 4th in world but it wouldnt be anymore with these deals its crazy. Romanin would be on 280,000 a week !

This situation also shows huge flaws in negotiatons you can make a lower offer but if rejected your players leaving on a free.

Theres no comebacks, no leeway . You cant revisit at the end of the season .

Is anyone else in this position ?

Yes but worse... That isnt too bad in terms of wages. I am from the UK so basically deal in £. $12 million works out about $7.4 million and $15 million works out as £9.3
Thats about normal for me and i am on my 4th season... One of my players is on £12 million($20 million) and his value is £15 million($24 million).

In terms of the way it is in real life its realistic in a way... By that year thats no doubt what wages will be.

However i do agree that the fact you cannot renegotiate is a bit of a bummer.

If you want to keep them keep them. If not renew their contract and then stick them on the transfer list. Thats the best way to do it.

I transfer listed them 2 and 2 others wanting 9 mil !

Noone ever bids when their contracts are running out. I released 2 of them for 100k each which is strangely cheap and saved me some wages.

Im typing from the PS3 it only has dollar signs, no sterling.

I hear you. This has always been a challenge. Everyone wants them when they are up and comers and growing nicely. But that is when you want to keep them. But once they get up to their peak, you can never sell them. Later on in the game you have a whole team of stars and have to make some choices regarding who to keep and who to ditch. It would be nice if you could list them out there for a discounted price to at least get some $$$ and interest rather than having to release them. Half the time they just sit there in the Waivers listing or whatever it is called because noone will pick them up for the ridiculous wages they want

I made that same mistake, my first PES master league I decided to try and renogiate Jamie Carragher's contract down a bit, and now he has left for £5m and plays for Arsenal! Beat them 4-0 in his return to Liverpool though ;)
