started master league with weunited original players on top player as always but was given 53 mill. first half of season struggled 3 wins but second half bought ozil for 2 mill hamnsik for 4 plus ten players and now doin ok. wont get promoted in first season but its looking good for next year now
is it normal to sign that quality so easy?
is it standard to get that much money as standard?

dont get me wrong its good to get a good team and finally put the ball in the net but on pre pes's it took seasons to get to where iam now

Yeah I started with Stoke City who are pretty average and I had £67m in the kitty and was able to sign decent players for cheap.

I think its because some fans felt it was too hard signing players on the last two versions of PES but to be honest I preferred that.

So the short answer is yes ... more money than you would expect and signing big players is TOO easy.

I dont think its to easy, I started as Tottenham before todays patch to get a feel for the new feel of the ML and I couldn't sign anyone. Balotelli, Gourcuff, even older players like Toulalan.

I think as with versions past certain players are more disposed to signing than others. Hamsik was always easy to sign cause hes a quality player at a relatively small club (in pes world) so Id imagine he get annoyed quite alot and unhappy. Honestly I dont think it seems to bad so far, besides a certain element of fantasy is required. If I want to play a genuine management sim Ill buy the new FM11.

At the end of the day if you think its unrealistic to buy player-x for stoke or whoever else then don't bid for them?!

A valid point but I didn't consider it unrealistic to bid for Niko Kranjcar and Robbie Keane, I just didn't expect to sign them for them as little as a couple of million each!

At least on older versions of PES my club status wouldn't have allowed me to sign them.

I aways avoid bidding for 'huge' players when I'm an average team out of realism but for the love of god its ridiculous how easy it is to sign decent players at a snip of their true value.

Ah now value wise I totally agree with you, I mean ffs defoe is worth a few million, in reality he wouldn't go for less than 15mill. I think the value is down to it being brought into line with the online mode, which has to have low base values due to the values rising as people buy them more.

I dont like that much if im honest but in terms of signings Kranjcar and Keane are not unrealistic for Stoke at all. Keane is way past his best and his skills are on the turn and Kranjcar is a decent player but in this PES he isnt rated that well tbh, hes very mediocre.

Anyway yeah I agree about the values they aren't realistic at all. Balotelli is only worth 3mill which is ridiculous, youd be hard pushed to find a one legged first division CB for that money in the real world. But in terms of ease of signing im not finding it easy at all. Out of interest did you buy that extra content thing which makes it easier to sign players?

Ironically Keane has been bloody awful for me, 2 goals and 1 assist in 12 games. Bizzarely he doesn't position himself in goalscoring positions yet he has the goal poacher skill card. I could cement him to the penalty spot and he still would find a way to get out of a goalscoring chance.

Krancjar on the other hand has been outstanding, his range of passing makes him my best 'team' player but I still feel annoyed at signing him for less than a basket of shopping from Harrods.

No, I wouldn't buy that and I would certainly advise others from buying it. It will ruin your ML purchasing that as the Transfer system doesn't need augmenting with a 'perk' like that.

That is strange then cause my 6 attempts to sign people as Spurs all failed miserably. Granted 3 of them (Gourcuff, Balotelli and Benzama) were slightly silly attempts but the other 3 were just above average high 70s low 80s players.

I would imagine it is because in PES these players would be classed as established first teamers at big clubs.

EDIT: I've noticed its just us chatting in this thread now which goes against forum protocol. So as not to incur the wrath of the moderators I would advise continuing this chat via personal messages.

Quick answer: if you've edited your team WE United before starting the Master League this will happen (Lots of cash). You have to begin with unedited team & default players to begin from the very bottom.

EDIT: accidently typed original instead of default there

You start with less money if you choose default ML players, Ruskin, Castolo, Jaric..etc, than you do with original players

About 15 games into my season and all of a sudden the AI has just gone into overdrive. The other teams seem to of got a kick up the arse cos now they are coming at my Madrid team with threat and aggression in their eyes. I'm stunned. Last time on 2010 it took 3 years for it to happen but now its instant.

2 things I thought I'd chip in with are its stupidly easy to sign players. I've signed 9 big names already such as vidic, robben, ribery, evra and didn't even cost me an arm and a leg. Fucking crap that it completely spoils the joy of transfers.

Also, night time graphics are appualing

I don't think the graphics are really the issue though, the dreadful defending and the ease of signing players is the stinker for me.

I gotta be honest mate, I'm struggling to see the logic in someone being annoyed that his big signings are coming too cheap, but gets 9 anyway. Surely you'd see the trend after 3.

If people don't like the big players at small clubs thing, don't try to buy them. If people don't like paying under 10M for a top rate player, when the agreement comes through, why not re-negotioate and offer them 30M+

Come on guys, isn't master league meant to be a fantasy thing? A rigs to ritches type of thing? I'm getting sick of hearing the same word pop up in all gaming communities now - Realism - I don't care for realistic. It's killing games for me, I don't want to play a master league full of last game on 'Match of the day' matches. I don't want to have the life frustrated out of me by blackburn only to say at the end "That was so realistic that I enjoyed that drab boring nil-nil"

I love the fact that I have signed D.Milito and Juan Mata for under £6M combined. Anyway, what goes around comes around, because on the last one, I sold Yakubu for £18M, this time I got £2.2M for him. There is still no real advantage, because wages are still quite high, and you can't boost your funds with a big sale.

Don't be insane, you don't want 'REALISM'?!? In that case why not have your players running around in suits or armour kicking bags of cement because you are missing the point of what PES2011 was aiming for ... Realism.

It failed thanks to the AI but PES will get there, I have played PES since the late 90s, I can have a negative opinion about a franchise I love, its my right as a paying punter!

But back to your daft arguement - Why on earth would Konami add jostling for possession and attempting to get teams playing differing styles? Its so you could get drab 0-0 draw's at Bolton and Blackburn and take a stuffing at Old Trafford. I drew 0-0 with Birmingham with Stoke, it felt like a proper game of football and odd AI issue aside I bloody loved it!

... as for Realism killing games? Bit of a sweeping statement there, give examples to back this up and I may concede but I find it unlikely.

I think it does ruin it a bit to be fair. I started a new ML as a PES D2 team edited them and called them AFC Nottingham, started in D2 league but got £53Million. First transfer window I got Malouda, Friedel, De La Pena, Milito, Amauri, Maniche and signed 4 youth players (Shimizu, Paleaz, Schwarz and Palmieri) then upgraded to a £5million scout, still got about £4mill in the bank and so far won every game on Professional, ok its not the hardest difficulty but I didnt anticipate having all those players lol. The best thing about the older ML's was having to get a few decent cheapo players in first and taking a few seasons to even get rid of all the default players but now I feel like its a waste of time because I am bound to win the league with the team ive already got.
