mod chip HELP!

would anybody in the newcastle area be willing to chip my ps2 or tell me where i can get it done. ive ordered my WE7 and need it chipped desperately

www.thebarras.co.uk is an experienced and good chip installer. Based in Glasgow, uses courier delivery.

Ethi, according to my friend you can get a flip top installed on ur ps2 at Gosforth Race Course one day. I will ask him when it is. Hope this helps

80 to 120 quid for a mod chip (installed aswell) and 30 quid for a flip top lid.

A Flip top lid requires a screwdriver and ten minutes worth of unscrewing and screwing of er... screws.

Anyone (even those who admit they are not skilled at anything) can do it if you look at the simple instructions on the various sites. Don't forget the flip top needs a PS2 boot disk to make game work which increases the price a bit.

If you're not patient, go for a chip as it saves you having to swap boot disk and game disk every time you want to play a game.

If you get ur console picked up by courier would you need to box it up? or do they do it?

You need to box it yourself if you were to use the 'thebarras' site. Other places may have other requirements.

Screwdrivers

I just got WE7 and a slide card today, but i can't seem to be able to loosen the damn screw, i've tried loads of different screw drivers and knifes but nothing seems to work, any suggestions as to what to do or where you can get the exact size of screw driver ?

fear not ZY, georginho has emailed me and adressed his problem. His WE7 is black and white so i recommended an RGB Cable.
