^I agree. Messi is just better.
Also Pes needs more dribbling moves and some trademark skills.

They should inlcude some tricks that only really skillful players can perform, like Messi, Ronaldinho, C.Ronaldo, etc..

I'm not sure which tricks to include or not to include though....

I have been thinking about this for some time, and the way I see it.. a Next Gen Football Sim should at the very least have this Stats:

1) Cutting the Ball Ability - To determine a player's ability to perform cuts, Double Cuts, etc, etc..

2) Explosiveness - To determines a players Acceleration (change in Momentum) when in Stationary Positions or while in "Slow Dribble".

- The "Explosiveness" is meant to establish A Fundamental Difference between players like Leo Messi and Thierry Henry -as- although Thierry Henry haves more "Pace" (Top Speed) than Leo Messi, Messi is much more Explosive than Henry -and- this makes Messi a better player in tight spaces.

- "Explosiveness" differences from Acceleration -because- the Acceleration Stat takes place once the player is "running", but Not when the player is Standing or going at walking pace ("Slow Dribble").

- The "Cutting the Ball Ability" and "Explosiveness" Stats should pretty much determine a player's Ability at getting past an Opponent.

- For example, it is clearly noticeable that Leo Messi is better than Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaka at "Dribbling" (Not "Running") his way past Defenders. Whereas, on the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo is better than Most at performing "Step Overs".

3) Step Overs - To determine a player's ability to perform Step Overs effectively. To determine Trademark Dribbling Moves such as; Scissors, Double Scissors, Rivelino Move, or Reverse Scissors.

4) Body Feints - To determine a player's ability at performing Stationary Feints, Lunges, etc, etc.. It should prove decisive in 1-on-1 Situations.

5) Shielding the Ball Ability - To determine a player's ability at keeping hold of the ball in any situation, particularly when going Slow or in a Stationary Situation. Shielding Trademark Moves include; Drag Backs, etc, etc..

- Juan Roman Riquelme, Zinedine Zidane, Carlos Valderrama -all- Slower than the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka -BUT- with much better "Shielding" ability. This is why they could slow the play without losing Possession of the ball, rare ability -as- most players must keep running in order to keep hold of the ball.

6) Roulette - To determine a player's ability to perform 360ª spins, etc, etc..

- Leo Messi and George Best -BOTH- great dribblers of the ball -but- have they ever performed a "Roulette"?? They don't have that Imagination, great Dribblers -but- simple Dribblers.

7) Dribbling Technique - Ability to perform Dribbles at high speeds, keep close control at high speeds.

8) Dribbling Accuracy - The most basic Skill, to determine a player's close control ("Slow Dribble") when Dribbling.

I think this 8 Stats; Cutting the Ball Ability, Explosiveness, Step Overs, Body Feints, Shielding the Ball Ability, Roulette, Dribbling Technique (or Dribbling Speed), and Dribbling Accuracy -would- be an improvement over the current (One-Dimensional) Stats; Dribbling Accuracy, Dribbling Speed, and Technique.

It would certainly establish some BASIC Differences between many players.
