thought i would write a little stroy about my ongoing "become a legend" game of PES09
DETAILS
background - i am a casual PES gamer, played most of the versions on and off, i mainly play once every couple of weeks when friends are round my house, ocasional online game, i have played a couple of BAL games, but only played a total of about one season, just to work out what sort of player and posistion i wanted to be before commiting long term to one player
i am by no means a great PES'er, so dont expect a england call up anytime soon!!

going for - target man, good height and weight average dribbling/pace/stamina, but good heading/strength/passing/longshots
GAME
****** INITIAL SCOUTED GAME ******
KICK OFF
4 mins - i manage to latch onto a GK mistake and tap in the rebound (wooohooo what a start) 1-0
13 mins - shocking defending by the COMP and a easy goal for them 1-1
18 mins - i get the ball 20 yards out 2 defenders coming at me, i panic a little and do a tiny chipped through ball of only 6-7 yards but the other CF manages to latch on and finish it cooly, (bit lucky there me thinks! but i will take it) 2-1
28 mins - another sloppy goal by my defence another simple goal 2-2
30 mins - good passing move from the kickoff wins us a corner, whipped in and header home by me (the target man idea was a good one, i wanted to be a threat at set pieces, am having the game of my life) 3-2
HALFTIME
(wow what a half, am really pleased with how i have started, and i was worried about the top player mode!!! but also note that the first game players are awful! so its easier to shine in this first game, i am a little tired after first half , stamina is a issue early on i know that but i also sprint WAYYYYYYYYYY too much)
SECOND HALF
51 mins - a good passing move from my team ended in my teammate slotting home a 4th ( i had one or two touches but was not really in volved much in the move, i like to think i drew away a few defenders!!) 4-2
65 mins - my teammate CF stole the ball on the half way line and me and him sprinted towards the keeper, i was hoping to tap in another rebound, but it went out for a corner, a good save from the keeper, the corner was whipped in close to goal and i rose highest to nod it home, clippeing the understand of the crossbar as it went in (this is my first hatrick on BAL mode and i have played about a season with various different players but only on regular difficulty, i am very happy, the best i have played against the COMP, i am hoping to get a offer from a good team now, hopefully top four prem!!) 5-2

very happy with that game, best i have played, last 20 mins was quiet and i tried to help out the defence a bit more, my health bar dropped to 0 on about 85 mins (HENCEFORTH KNOW AS "LOST MY MOJO") so i was happy with my workrate and did not wear myself out to early, no yellow card thankfully, i do tend to dive in a little too much, lets look at the rating !!!!

well, not what i had hopped for, the rating generator is not the best in this game, but i was hoping for at least 7.5, oh well......

i decided to go for middlesbrough, a ranking on 36 (highest of the three) and the thought of stuart downing whipping in those balls from the left was too tempting to turn down, and they dont have that many strikers so i should get a game, we should be aiming for a top half finish i think.
150 a week, damn minimum wage!! a outrage!

the reason i went for this schedule is because balance and power both effect my jumping and heading, strengthening and temwork will be much improved, and general kicking power will receive a boost, the two area's that miss out and only have 1 are speed and stamina, the reasons being is that i dont intend for my player to be fast, he is more of a target man, i wont be sprinting past and breaking any offside traps anytime soon, stamina also just because lasting the 90 mins is not as important to me as learning the other basic skills. and i dont mind being subbed off whilst still young
the schedule will stay the same for a while, but i might take another look at it half way through the season, they are all subject to change, i might decide to change direction or just boost a particular stat for a while
stats in green (above 75) dribble speed, thats it! looks like i need some work or i will turn out to be the next Sean Dundee (the old liverpool fans will know who that is, lets just say he was Bad, and i mean BAAAAAD!)
