My player keeps chipping

In Become a Legend, whenever i have an open shot at goal i press X and he decides to chip it. I've noticed the only way I can do a proper shot is to sprint while shotting but I don't want to sprint because sometimes i'll end up running into a defender

Since you said you pressed :x:. I assume you're on a PS3 or 2. :x: is the pass button. If you want to shoot, press the :square: button.

No offence but do you seriously think anyone would be stupid enough to think pass is shoot >.<.

I'm on 360 so X IS shoot

Holding a button, I cannot remember which right now, while shooting makes your player chip. Go through the Command List and see which it is, and then don't press that button anymore.

If you're not intentionally pressing it then there might be a problem with your controller.

I believe it's one of the shoulder buttons (LB, LT, RB or RT)

Take note of the position of your player and the ball when you shoot. The ball physics are not like in the old football games where a ball would stick like glue to a player until he lost it somehow. Maybe the ball is too close/too far away or something like that.

Just doing some thinking, I don't even know if this is actually true in-game.

when you press and hold shot buttom and then you press sprint button, the player chips the ball, but not to high, it's a move just to lob the keeper

yup its the RB for the defualt pes controller config, after you shoot, if you press RB it does a low chip shot, i just checked the manual :D
