My throw-ins suck!!!

When taking short throw-ins, how do u stop the other team from just running past ur player to intercept it? This happens to me only in 2 player mode. Any ideas?

if you hold the l1 button beleive it or not this actually makes the com player marking you r man move away about ten yards and another of your players come in to help!

Try pressing :L1: to change player, theres always a player near the ball other than the normal one it usually throws to, just throw it to the other player, it works quite well when your playing 1-1 against a human opponent, you could also do a long throw if you choose but I find pressing the :L1: to change the player usually works

Run around to lose the marker and then use anything from :x: , :circle: or :triangle: to throw it.
Variety is good.

Against the COM, it realises you've switched to throw to another player and the guy marking the closest of your players leaves him to cover the next closest.

Let him him run, then press :L1: again to switch back to the player closest to you, who is now unmarked.

I run really far away from the throw in, holding down R1, then just before turning back to run back to the thrower, press X. Then you get the ball with a little bit of time.
