Before I start, I've tried reading through some of the threads that offered criticism on the game but they're too big for me to be bothered finishing so if some of my views have been talked about to death elsewere... that's too bad!

I bought the game on Saturday and after a couple days of playing I have to say I'm very dissapointed with Pro Evo. The main thing that gets me is how cumbersome the players movements are. This is the big and only let down for me (apart from the lack of crowd but lets not get drawn into that.) One thing I loved about 4 is how crisp the movements of the players were and how precise and how that is complimented by the fine passing game. You can beat a man and have great passing moves. For me, passing is the only method for me that works as it is damn near imposiible to skin someone and what is the huge first touches all about (dash button or not).

Shots have kind of improved and kind of not. Someone previously said that when the ball comes off the foot in 5 it feels like a shot but, 4 wasn't bad either. I could get Nedved to hit thunderbolts as and when required. The way I see it you can score some different sort of goals with 5 but the shooting seems to have taken a step down. Heading though, is a huge improvement. Or should that be easier?...

Defending is equally cumbersome. Also let down by players movement, the sliding tackles are awful. You get rubbish distance and if you do connect with the ball you'll be lucky to gain posession off the tackle.

I will give the makers huge praise for the edit options. Fantastic kit and player options and the graphics are the best I have seen in a football game.

To round up, I think that in 4 you can play football as it is meant to be played. On the deck, crisp passing and also it has a very good ability to put in some solo efforts or running onto passes or running down the wing hitting the bye line. 5... I don't know maybe it's not "clicking" but whereas you can play football on 4 5 just seems like a football video game with the kind of let downs you expect to find. Pro Evo 4 remains something special. WHY COULDN'T THEY LEAVE THE PLAYER'S MECHANICS ALONE???? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have played FIFA 06. Easy to play, the quality of football isn't as good pro evo 4 but it is enjoyable but the graphics aren't as good as pro evo 5.

finally, isn't it great we can have players that play without tucking innthe shirts.

stop trying to play pes 5 like pes 4 for the love of GOD! Figure it out! When it clicks, this game is fluent in movement and dribbling TRUST ME.

and I did wonder what I was in for with the title of this thread, that's probably why you've had a lack of responses ;)

Please post your views on the game in the Impressions thread at the top or in one of the existing moaning threads. No need for new threads thanks, there are enough.
