Haven't even tried the demo yet and don't think I will. I'll just save it for the full game, I'm sure it's going to be awesome.

Got it yesterday, must have played it for around 7 hours at least, all in 'My Player' mode. Great game and I'm only scratching the surface.

Still only touched 'My Player'. Just after completing my first season with the Suns. We were shit...

Got a trade to the Bulls after around 10 games into my second season. Just had enough with the Suns and ridiculous amount of trades they were doing. None of the starting 5 from when I started were there at the end of the first season.

I'm around the 60 game mark in my second season. We're currently 5th in Eastern Conference.

This is my main 'My Player' game but I've started two since, one as a SG and one as a C.

I've only had a few games with this but it's brilliant. Need to practice more before starting any of the game modes. I'm not sure what to set the quarter length to. I don't want it at 12 minutes as it'll take too long but I still want to produce realistic scorelines.

Anyway, this is what modern day sports sims should be about. I traded in Madden before I got this. It's still a decent game but it just feels it's run it's course. I'd kill for an NFL game with this kind of production.

Well for 'My Player', I play 10 min quarters as I feel that's enough time for my team to get the normal amount of points. Also because you don't play the entire game as your player gets subbed, it's not the full amount of time that is played. But you always got to account for times when the clock is paused for fouling etc.

However if I were to play 'Assocation Mode' I'd probably select around 8 minutes, in NBA 2k10 I was doing 6 min quarters and alot of the time I was getting the average amount of points but since 2k10 the AI defence has improved greatly.

Anyway, this is what modern day sports sims should be about. I traded in Madden before I got this. It's still a decent game but it just feels it's run it's course. I'd kill for an NFL game with this kind of production.

The entire production and presentation of this game is just phenomenal. The pre and post match videos etc just make it more realistic.

Cheers for that, Rainey. I was thinking around the 8 minute mark. Having it longer for My Player makes sense, did a similar thing with Superstar mode on Madden.

I heard if you create a team in Association mode you don't get any draft picks, is that true? Or is it just for the first year? I might create the cast of Hang Time, or do a solo career with Danny Mellon.

I'm uncertain about that as I haven't properly started one. I'm guessing you've heard this because when the game was first released it only had two rookies (Rubio and some other dude) because of the lock-out and so the rookies hadn't properly signed for their teams. But I'm guessing now that most, if not all, rookies are in the game you should have draft picks.

A Deering team would be sweet.
