Harlow all Winning Eleven n PES fans out there,

I'm pretty new to this forum, so allow me to do abit of introduction on myself ^^

I'm 22 and I'm from Singapore, I have been playing Winning Eleven around 8-9 years ago way back when it was Winning Eleven 2 and still in J-League version, and of cos, it's in Japanese also. =P

I am a hardcore fan and sometimes when I'm bored I can spend several hours on my PS2 playing Winning Eleven.

The reason why I join this forum is because I need abit of help here. I can only usually compete among my friends at my home. I want to advance to the next stage, to bring myself to a higher stage, to seek perfection and enjoyment in this game, so therefore, I wanted to try going online to play with u peeps from all corners of the world.

However, my knowledge to online WE9 is very limited, and therefore I would deeply appreciate any help here.

My internet connection is adsl 512k, thru my house phone line.

If I want to go online and play WE, I just needa get myself a slim version of PS2, an original WE9 disc, and just connect myself to the internet right?

Because my PS2 now is the older version, so it doesnt support online play, so i was thinking of getting a slim one. Is that all I need for playing online?

I would deeply appreciate any help offered to me here in this thread.

Delphia, you could just get a network adaptor for the PS2 that you have, I am sure this would be the cheaper option, also we europeans use the Pro Evoulition Soccer series apposed to the Winning Elenen series that you guys use so any online play will be restricted to Asia and maybe the Americas.

What you need:-
ADSL Connection
Original WE or PES Disc
Network adaptor or Slim PS2
RJ45 Network cable (modem - PS2)

What's this RJ45 Network cable (modem - PS2)? Is it an individual cable that connects the modem to the PS2?

It is hard to find the network adaptor in Singapore now, but well I guess, I need to try it out first then >"<

The reason why I play WE9 is because I just like the trademark cuz I been playign it for so many years!! ahahaha, and also WCG(World Cyber Games) uses WE9 instead of PES5, so well, Im thinking of participating in it next year... althou the console is xBox which I find it really stupid... -.-
