Whenever I try to connect to the network it says testing network environment then dispays this:

Unable to transmit using UDP port 5370. You may need to connect directly to the internet or adjust your connection device i.e. router settings etc. Assign DMZ, Port mapping, Configure NAT Table and other router settings to the playstation 3 system. Individual products may use unique terminology.

Any idea what this means?

I can't connect directly to the internet I'm in a shared student house and I have no idea how to change the router settings, nor to I have a clue what any of those terms are....

your NAT ports might not be open. My friends in uni now and theyve closed off his nat ports so he cant play games online and trying to charge him £5 a week for them to be opened again.

That used to come up on mine all the time till I installed the latest V1.20 version and the latest console version which is V2.52 I think.
