New guy from Norway here!

Hi!

I just joined this forum. I've had the first PES game for the PS2 since 2002, and have just ordered PES6 since I found it on a site that sold it really cheap.

I chose my member name, Drillos94, because "Drillos" was the nickname of Norway's team in the 90s when Egil "Drillo" Olsen was the coach, and the 1994 World Cup was the first World Cup I followed and the year that I really became a big soccer fan.

I've always followed Norway since World Cup 94 as it was the first World Cup I remember and sadly England didn't qualify for it.:faceplm: At the time Norway had quite a few players from the Prem such as Leonhardsen, Bohinen, Thorstvedt, etc. and then later some of favourite players were Norwegian, i.e. Solskjaer (look at my avatar), Ronnie Johnsen, Henning Berg huh Unfortunately Norway have been pretty dire recently. It's strange when you think that just over 10 years ago they beat Brazil in WC98 and now they're struggling in a group with Scotland.:huh:

Yeah, I know. The 90s was really the glory days for Norway, when we qualified for two World Cups (94 and 98) and Euro 2000. But the 00s have been pretty dire indeed.

But now that "Drillo" is back as the coach and 2009 has been a decent year for us so far (2 wins and 1 loss), maybe there's still a chance we'll qualify for World Cup 2010. To be honest, I don't have big expectations, but who knows?

A tremendous defender. I can't believe I forgot Erik Nevland though! Our only Norwegian player at the moment is a youngster called Magnus Wolff Eikrem who is one handsome chap:

Definitely agree. I have PES6 on the Xbox 360 and in terms of enjoyment and gameplay, PES6 is the best next-gen effort. The gameplay is very well balanced, and although the single player may not be fully in depth with the ommision of the Edit Mode, the online play more than makes up for that. PES6 is the only online capable game in the series - enjoy my Norweigen friend.
