I have a dual analogue controller on my PC, but I can still only move the players in 8 directions. Is this limited in the game? If so, why? There must be some sort of reason.

Also, how do you curve the ball during normal play?

I'm loving my first hour of playing this game and apparently it gets better, so I can see me playing this non-stop!

There are only 8 directions to move in unless dribbling using R1 where there seems to be slightly more angles to move through.

You can't curl the ball yourself apart from at free kicks and corner kicks. The player you control puts on any curl he can otherwise.
